Rime of The Submerged Forest

Produced for and funded by Waterfront Festival (Hartlepool Borough Council)

PROJECT DETAILS

To create a new folk tale for Hartlepool. Using the ancient submerged forest surrounding the local coast as the source material, a story was created to highlight the importance of keeping our beaches clean. Young people worked in collaboration with local artists to design the characters in the story who were then brought to life by performers as a walkabout act.

Artists involve with the project included:

Visual artists, sculptors, puppet designers, costume designers, special effects make up artists, musicians and performers.

The SeAvengers

Commissioned and funded by: Middlesbrough Museums (Middlesbrough Council)

Inspired by an exhibit; Bottled Ocean by George Nuku. A immersive drama workshop held in the exhibition space, follwed by 6 weeks at school working alongside professional artosts and learning to create comic books with Ocean saving superheroes as central characters.
